Injectables

Botox® Cosmetic

BOTOX® Cosmetic is the only product of its kind that is directed at the facial muscles that cause lines and wrinkles. It targets what are known as dynamic wrinkles, which are caused by repeated muscular contractions, such as frowning and squinting. BOTOX Cosmetic, an injectable treatment derived from a purified protein, works by relaxing the muscles that cause these dynamic wrinkles, giving your face a more relaxed and refreshed appearance. Best of all, regular use of this simple treatment will soften expression lines and help to “stop the clock” on the development or further deepening of lines. Juvederm™

Restylane® and Perlane®

Our products Restylane and Perlane offer you a natural safe and long lasting beauty lift. No other injectable implant can offer this concept. Restylane is intended for wrinkle correction and lip enhancements. Perlane can be used for shaping facial contours, such as cheeks and chin, correcting deep folds, and for volume augmentation of the lips. Sculptra®

Sculptra® is an injectable product that restores and corrects the signs of facial fat loss by replacing lost volume. Sculptra® provides an increase in skin thickness, helping to create a more natural facial appearance in those with facial lipoatrophy. Sculptra® is an enduring treatment approved by the FDA for restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy, in people with human immunodeficiency virus. It is the first FDA-approved product of its kind for this condition. Facial fat loss, or lipoatrophy, is the loss of fat beneath the skin, which can result in sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. Sculptra® is a safe, synthetic, and biocompatible material that is injected below the surface of the skin in the area of fat loss. It provides a gradual and significant increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas. No skin testing is required.

Non-Surgical Procedures

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion is a scientific method, using fine, inert (micro) crystals to progressively abrade the skin's surface. It is used for skin resurfacing and treating a range of skin abnormalities. This treatment has been used in Europe for years; now this exciting procedure is helping men and women in the United States experience remarkable improvements in their skin texture, regardless of skin color. With our Microdermabrasion skin treatment program, you can see immediate improvements in your skin's appearance. This unique approach removes dead and flaking skin cells and stimulates the production of fresh, young skin cells and collagen. Micro-crystals are vacuumed through a delicate hand piece, which is held at a precise angle to the skin, producing a skin-polishing peel. In as little as 30 - 40 minutes, this gentle abrasive technique efficiently produces satisfying results. Treatments are applied through a course of weekly sessions. Microdermabrasion enhances the skin’s condition by stimulating collagen production and does what no other available non-surgical treatment can do in combating the signs of aging skin. Most importantly, it is safe to use on all skin types and colors.

IPL Photo Facial

IPL Photorejuvenation reduces and eliminates the unsightly sun damage visible on your skin. Most of us recognize this as freckles, fine lines and the larger brown age or liver spots. Whether on your face, hands, neck, chest or back, this treatment can make you look like you’ve turned back time. With an average of five treatments spread out at three week intervals, IPL Photorejuvenation stimulates the production of collagen. As the new collagen forms, fine lines and wrinkles are decreased. IPL technology improves both the superficial and deeper skin layers and rejuvenates the skin while at the same time delivering beneficial thermal energy to deep issue. After a series of treatments, you can see a significant reduction of unwanted pigmentation and the appearance of smoother, revitalized skin. IPL Photorejuvenation uses a technology called Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). At first glance, it is similar to a conventional laser, which emits a fixed wavelength of light. But IPL technology is far different than laser technology. Instead, IPL devices produce a broad spectrum of light in a range of wavelengths. These wavelengths are customized to suite your type of skin and its needs by a trained IPL physician or technician.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal uses various wavelengths of light to target hair follicles and impair their ability to grow. It’s a fast and nearly pain-free method to reduce unwanted hair for people with a wide variety of skin types and hair colour. Lasers are used to remove and reduce unwanted hair through a process called selective photothermolysis. The laser is pulsed or turned on for a millisecond, and emits a high energy flash of light that passes safely through the skin to the hair follicle. The follicle absorbs the light, and converts it into heat. This disables the follicle and impairs the hair's ability to grow. Lasers are only effective for hair removal during the growth phase. This means that more than one session is usually required in order to get all the hairs not in the growth stage at the time.

Thermage

The Thermage procedure was developed to help the signs of aging skin by tightening tissue. The Thermage procedure is also known as ThermaLift, Thermal Lifting, Therma Plasty, and Thermoplastic contouring. Diminished collagen density and a thinning epidermis are typical of aging skin. After the Thermage Procedure there is new and denser collagen and an appreciable increase in the thickness of the epidermis. The result of the procedure leaves your skin tighter and rejuvenated.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels can help restore sun damaged, wrinkled, blemished, acne scarred or blotchy skin to its original youthful appearance, achieving a smoother, more even tone and texture. Your skin will look younger, tighter and fresher than before. Still a chemical peel cannot remove all facial flaws. Deeper lines, wrinkles and other flaws may require additional treatments or techniques.

There are three basic peels that penetrate to different levels and, therefore, produce different results:

  • Superficial: These superficial or light peels are the mildest of all the types. Using Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs), these peels include glycolic, lactic, and fruit acid peels. They burn off only the outer layers of the skin to smooth out its texture. Some people find that it also reduces fine lines and wrinkles. AHA peels may also be used to improve the texture of sun damaged skin and balance out skin pigmentation.
  • Medium: Medium depth peels for treating skin with moderate sun damage, weathered skin, surface wrinkles, and/or uneven tone or pigment abnormalities typically use a Trichloroacetic acid (TCA) solution. Full-face TCA peels take approximately 15 minutes and are usually performed in the doctor's office or in a surgery centre as an outpatient procedure.
  • Deep: The strongest chemical peel uses Phenol acid to produce a deep peel effect for individuals suffering a larger amount of skin damage and deep wrinkles. The results of deep chemical peels can even be more striking than that of dermabrasion or laser resurfacing. These peels should be used with caution because they can cause permanent lightening of the skin, which can be a telltale sign that you have had this treatment

ALA Acne Treatment

Acne is a fact of life for many adolescents and adults. Approximately 90% of all adolescents and 25% of all adults experience acne at some point in their lives. ALA-PDT or aminolevulinic acid HCl PhotoDynamic Therapy is fast becoming a standard treatment for photorejuvenation, acne vulgaris, actinic keratoses (AK's), rosacea and sebaceous gland hyperplasia. ALA-PDT has become a therapy that is routinely used to enhance laser and light treatments. For our photodamage patients, more than 90% achieve outstanding results, and about 75% of the paients treated for sebaceous related conditions achieve greater than 75% improvement. Decreased oily skin and pore reduction is seen in most all patients, as well as, improvements in smoothness and texture. ALA-PDT is becoming a very popular procedure, producing incredible results.
