As a child, I loved math and chemistry. I come from a family of doctors, so I knew from childhood that I would also grow up to be a doctor. I chose plastic surgery because it’s a broad specialty, incorporating the entire face and body and involving both aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. I appreciate the variation in my work, and enjoy working in both hospital and private practice settings.
All types of plastic surgery procedures are interesting to me, and I am particularly compelled by the complexity of post-bariatric body contouring – which may incorporate a tummy tuck, thigh lift, arm lift and breast lift near Toronto – because these patients can be totally transformed physically. After years of struggle with weight and then massive weight loss, helping people regain a body they are satisfied with is extremely gratifying, both for my patients and for myself as a surgeon.
To achieve a beautiful result in plastic surgery, the first step is listening to what each patient wants and what’s important to them. I like people and want to understand their expectations and concerns. I want to explain their options and help them make an educated choice.
While consulting with new patients about cosmetic plastic surgery in Toronto, their comfort is important. Whether they are seeking a facelift or fat transfer, a breast surgery or tummy tuck, I want to choose the best and safest procedure that will give the optimal result. Most people don’t want to look like someone else; they just want to look their personal best. Sometimes less is more. And safety is always first. I feel fortunate to do what I do, helping others to feel good about the way they look and feel.
